Rich serves in the role of Managing Director for Avanti Residential with responsibility for strategic growth and institutional capital relationships.  He has more than 18 years of real estate experience with roles in capital markets, fundraising, asset management, underwriting, and development.  
Prior to joining Avanti Residential he successfully raised $3 billion in equity from institutional capital partners for Carmel Partners, a multifamily operator investing in acquisition/renovation deals and development projects in select US markets.  While at Carmel Partners he also oversaw the repositioning and disposition of a $1 billion portfolio of multifamily investments located in Colorado, Arizona and Texas.
Additionally, he led the capital formation of a $100 million fund at PEF Advisors, a first-time sponsor focused on affordable housing space where he was part of the senior leadership team and a member of the investment committee.  Rich is a past member of ULI, PREA, and IREI Americas Editorial Board.
Rich has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering from Brigham Young University.
